At the library I work at, we have an early literacy program called Racing to Read. It's all about teaching kids to know about reading and writing before they learn to read and write. We try to incorporate some key concepts in our storytimes and the toys we circulate to equip children with the skills they need to be strong readers. We call them the 5 Roads to Reading:
