Review: Carrot

Carrot Carrot by Vanita Oelschlager
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Carrot is a common house cat who envies the fancy white cat she sees on a yacht and wants that life style. She’d have to marry the Earl of Kent’s cat, but she learns that her life has so much more to offer than life on a yacht would. She couldn’t bear to leave her family or even the little mouse that had the flu. Someone had to take care of them!

Adorable book, and I think every library should have it. The flow was nice and a decent size for children. The only downsides would be, some of the words used are most likely aimed at older children and it’s not very interactive for smaller kids. And I think the author could have chosen something instead of champagne since it’s not very appropriate for children to be seeing. Overall, a cute book.
